A new broker must complete the 30 classroom hour AREC post-licensure course within 6 months after the date the individual was initially licensed. Newly licensed brokers requesting status as an Executive or Principal Broker must satisfy the post-licensure requirement before such status is granted.

This session will consist of the following:

  • Compliance When Using AI Tools, Applying Arkansas Real Estate Regulations & Licensing Law when using AI: (6 credit hrs.) 
    This comprehensive course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in real estate while ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical best practices. Over six modules, participants will learn about current AI tools, their applications in real estate, and the legal responsibilities that Arkansas licensees must uphold when leveraging these technologies. Hands-on activities, case studies, and Arkansas-specific regulatory references are incorporated to reinforce learning. By the end of the course, agents and brokers will be equipped to responsibly integrate AI into their practice in ways that enhance efficiency without violating Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) rules or state/federal laws.
  • Real Estate Safety: (1 credit hr.)

Arkansas licensees must obtain seven hours (7) of continuing education annually to renew an active real estate license for the upcoming calendar year. NOTE: Renewal for the upcoming year must be completed by September 30th of the current year to avoid penalty. After, September 30th, renewal can be completed with a penalty assessed. If an active license is not renewed for the upcoming calendar year prior to December 31st of the current year, the license will automatically become expired on January 1st.

This session will consist of the following:

For Licensees obtaining a license in the current year, satisfaction of your continuing education requirement will be required upon your second active license renewal after you are licensed.

When transferring a license from inactive to active status, continuing education hours must have been completed in the year in which the license is activated or the preceding calendar year.

NOTE: Commission Regulation 11.4 does not allow one course to be used for both continuing education and pre-licensing education.
